Nitzavim/Vayelech | נצבים/וילך | "Standing/He went "
Torah: Deuteronomy 29:9-31:30
Prophets: Isaiah 61:10-63:9
Gospel: Luke 24:1-12/Luke 24:13-43
Hashem in these 2 portions shows the children of Israel that he is already aware that the Jews are a stiff neck people and like rebellious children. Yet Hashem still kept the promise he made and delivered them to the land as promised . in the first part of our reading Moshe calls on all the children of Israel to take on the covenant with G-d and the second portion Moshe gives G-d's command that the Torah be read every 7 years in public , and when he finished writing the scroll he instructed it to be placed in the holy of holies along with the ark of the covenant . In the haftara portiions it shows that even with the rebeliousness , HaShem is willing to bring his children back into the fold when they have turned from their sins . This week we wil remain at Roeh Clay's residence for classes and Torah study . We are in the final phases of establishing a new location for weekly worship please watch here for high holy day information.
