A brief history of Changing Destinies

A number of years ago A Dallastown man felt the call of G-d for him to follow in the footsteps of Yeshua/Jesus . His calling led him to preach the word of Adonai in the city of York PA , and along the eastern seaboard.

This evangelistic ministry escalated as he realized to truly walk in the footsteps of Messiah there was much more to do than talk about salvation . a few years later this man Mike Streavig began ministering to the homeless and needy in York , Philly, and Eretz Yisrael. Ministering to people who have little or nothing holds to Yeshua's admonition to "feed my sheep" .But Mr.Streavig was not satisfied nor did he feel that York City , or Philly was having enough done to meet the needs of the poor.

As a side note : for the most part Mr Streavig has for the last couple years paid for the food, and supplies for the outreach out of his own pocket .

This includes 6 grills , 12 fuel tanks ,heaters , food, utensils, drinks , 3 shuttle busses ,1 -40 passenger bus, a van and 2 trailers , sound equipment , and a riser /stage system.

Changing Destinies 2011

2011 brought new blessings and challenges to Changing Destinies Outreach . With the transfer of Streavigs automotive to Mike's son funding has dropped to a fraction of what it was before. Kol Shalom Messianic Fellowship had it's last service at the garage in Mid December 2010 when Mike traveled to Israel for several weeks . services resumed in May briefly prior to the transition and are now held at the Family Worship Center of Red Lion. 865 west broadway Red lion Pa.

Mike continues ministering to the needy and homeless in the roughest sections of York City holding Shabbat cook outs and Block parties. Some of these events are co-sponsored by and aided by the City of York ,Police and Fire Services , and various local Churches and educational ministries.

Changing Destinies has as of this year come under the covering/Kipporah of Kol Shalom Ministries and C.T.O.M.C.

Above: Yeshua Ha Moshiach instructed his talmidim to follow the Torah, part of the instructions HaShem gives is to provide for the needs of the poor both physical and Spiritual. Those who do , reap of the blessings of doing so..Yeshua Set the example by repeatedly taking care of those who could not take care of themselves , and feeding multitudes.
